Letter Writing Ministry

• What Is the Letters Writing Ministry?

The Letter Writing Ministry is the result of our desire to reach our community with the good news of Jesus Christ. Every week, people in our church take time to write a letter or two or ten to those in our surrounding area. These letters are then addressed and brought to the church, where they are stamped and mailed.

• Who Receives These Letters?

Last year (2005) we sent letters to nearly everyone in the Evans, Eden, and North Collins phone books. This year we are working on the rest of the Southtowns. Our goal is 10,000 letters this year.

• What Is Written in These Letters?

Each hand-written letter is simply a personal invitation to attend our church, with a gospel tract enclosed.

• Who Can Be Involved?

Anyone who can write can be involved. Right now, around 35 people are a part of this outreach. Senior citizens, men, women, teenagers, singles, and families can all have a part.

• What Response Have We Received?

Over a hundred people have responded to our letters, some by attending, others by calling or writing. It is our prayer that – even if they never contact us – every person who receives a letter reads it and responds in their heart.
