Kids Clubs

• What Are Kids Clubs? Who Can Participate?

Kids Clubs is our program for all kids in Kindergarten through grade 6 every Wednesday night from 7:15-8:15. There are two different classes – Primaries and Juniors. The Primaries class is for children in grades K-3, and the Juniors class is for those in grades 4-6.

• What Happens In Kids Club?

Classes begin with a short Bible lesson. In the Primaries class, this lesson is taught by one of the Primary teachers. In the Juniors class, different men of our church take turns speaking.

After devotions, each grade goes with their individual teacher for “book time.” During book time, kids work to earn badges and awards in many different areas. After book time, the kids have a time of games and physical activities.

• What Type of Badges Are Earned During Book Time?

Primaries have the opportunity of earning nearly 20 badges in four years. These include the Good News badge, Good Servant badge, Good Samaritan badge, and the Preacher’s Pal badge.

Juniors can earn up to forty badges in three years including badges for Athletics, Christian Character, First Aid, Patriotism, and Bible Memorization.

• What Types of Games Are Played?

During winter they play indoor games such as Steal-the-Bacon, Tug ‘o War, and Musical Chairs. In the summer the kids go outside and play outdoor games like soccer, SPUD, and kickball.

• Who Oversees This Ministry?

Bill Nolder is our Kids Club director.
